I shot this stop motion animation with a Canon 60D DSLR rigged to shoot down on the surface of a table. I created the puppet with foam, sewing it together with thread so it could be manipulated. See the storyboard below and an image of the set before chroma keying and adding the background in Adobe Premiere Pro.
